About the role
As a Software Engineer (ERP), you design, build, and support the modules that make our own ERP system work—and keep it connected to Odoo. Your work helps every team in the company get the information they need, when they need it, and keeps our business running smoothly as we grow and adapt.
You'll work with IT and users across the company to develop, test, and improve our ERP, making sure it fits how we actually work. You’ll also move data between systems and help us avoid disruptions as we upgrade and expand.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain modules for our in-house ERP system, based on real user needs and requirements
- Build and maintain integrations between our ERP and Odoo using APIs and webhooks
- Plan and execute data migrations from Odoo and other sources, verifying accuracy and completeness
- Analyze software requirements and user needs to assess feasibility and scope of new features
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance
- Write and run tests, review code, and check changes in a test environment before release
- Document modules, interfaces, and data structures so others can support and extend your work
- Fix defects reported by users and IT support, and communicate solutions clearly
What success looks like
- ERP modules delivered according to the agreed project plan
- Integrations with Odoo run reliably, without data loss or duplicates
- All migrated data is complete, accurate, and verified by users
- Software releases reach production without breaking existing processes
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Several years (typically two to four) of experience developing, integrating, or maintaining ERP systems
- Comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, and data migration tools
- Experience with version control, test environments, and documenting code and data structures
- Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for ERP or web development
- Ability to read and analyze user requirements, and translate them into working software
- Skilled at troubleshooting, debugging, and solving complex technical problems
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with IT and end users
Nice to have
- Experience with Odoo or similar ERP platforms
- Background in enterprise application integration or data migration projects
- Familiarity with database management and web platform development
Who you work with
You report to the IT Lead. You work closely with other IT team members and users from across the company, especially those involved in ERP and Odoo processes. No direct reports in this role.
